Christian Cantwell wins the gold medal during the 12th IAAF World Athletics Championships in Berlin, Germany. My personal favorite, Reese Hoffa, did not do to well during the competition, but it’s great to see Mr. Cantwell getting the gold.
Thank you to HBL01 for pointing this video out to us.
Adam Nelson, Reese Hoffa, Ralf Bartels, Christian Cantwell, mmm, mmm, mmm…
And what happens when you win the gold? You flex your muscles, of course. Here are some gorgeous photos of Christian in all of his arm flexing glory…
Happy 2009 to all of you! To kick off this new year, here is a collage of the six winners from my weekly installments of Two Woofy Tuesday and Woofy Winner Wednesday…
Based on the emails, comments, and poll (99-64), Christian Cantwell is our winner. I did not vote myself, but if I did, I would have voted for Manuel Martinez. Still, that was definitely a tough choice as Christian is undoubtedly a magnificent bearish specimen of a man, And being the winner, here are some photos of the sexy Christian Cantwell.
[NOTE: Christian is the winner based on yesterday and part of today’s votes. Most of the polls I put out will always be open for new blog visitors… So who knows? The poll results might eventually change…]
My obsessive voting habits for Dancing With The Stars have inspired me to do a “Woofy Challenge” of sorts. This is all in the name of good fun and a way for me to see who you guys and gals tend to find “more attractive” (i.e., “woofier”).
Today’s Two Woofy Tuesday’s theme is “Shirtless Bearish Shot Putters”… So who’s woofier? The furry and beefy Manuel Martinez or the bulky and massive Christian Cantwell?
Alright, no spoilers here, but the results were very surprising and truly punched then kicked my arrogant American pride and ego… Here are just some awesome photos of Reese Hoffa, Christian Cantwell, and Adam Nelson from the 2008 Men’s Shot Put Final (courtesy of Daylife.com).
The truth is, I kinda hate sports. Sometimes. You can call it what you want: “friendly competition,” “friendly rivalry,” and other “friendly” oxymoron you can think of. The point is, there is a winner who achieves glory and fame while the loser suffers through anguish, pain, and even humiliation.
Take this photo for instance:
Manuel Martinez is definitely one of the sexiest bearish shot putters out there. Seeing the painful effects of losing on such a model of perfection do sting me a bit. (And my libido wants to rudely interrupt that the above photo — I’m sorry, Mr. Martinez — is just smoking hot.)
I don’t think I can ever empathize about spending most of your life on something then fail at it when it mattered the most.
And as Manuel Martinez loses at the 12th IAAF World Indoor Championships in Valencia, the following American duo rose to become the dominant winners: Christian Cantwell and Reese Hoffa. And even though my personal favorite, Mr. Reese Hoffa, placed second to the woofy Christian Cantwell, you can still feel and taste the disappointment of not placing first.
What a lineup. These three U.S. Olympians will definitely be a force to reckon with.
Chubarama once posted about Adam Nelson getting hypnotized as part of his conditioning to win it all in the Olympics. I remember kinda laughing at it. Sorry, Mr. Nelson, I know you guys are a team, but I’m cheering on for Reese Hoffa to win that Olympic Gold.
And then, yes, Christian Cantwell, you are one heck of a big and beefy bear.
In fact, you’re one of my favorite hot shotputters out there. You even took the Gold, placing Mr. Reese in second place, in the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Valencia on March 7, 2008. But this is a competition, and I need to take sides. I have to go with the formidable and handsome Reese Hoffa.
