Here I go again.
Last time I posted was on April of 2018. It’s getting close to April 2021, so it’s been three years since I was here. During that time, I would randomly post on tumblr. Continue reading BearMythology Version 5.0
Check out Drew Powell’s SYFY Wire’s interview. You can just feel how ecstatic he is to play the role of the zombiefied and indestructible Solomon Grundy. He talks like someone you can just talk to and feel comfortable with. He is such a sweet and jovial guy. Yeah, I said jovial. Anyway, I particularly enjoyed his tidbit about David Harbour (of Stranger Things fame!) working out in the gym for the upcoming Hellboy movie only to wear a padded costume, whereas Drew would be shirtless for most of the time. Former WWE superstar, Shad Gaspard, just got an audition with Brett Ratner’s upcoming superhero movie, “Youngblood” via Twitter [Comic Book Movie]. I’ve never heard of “Youngblood” though I’m somewhat familiar with Chapel’s character from “Spawn.” Body-wise, Shad definitely possesses the brawny muscles for the role. [KEEP ON WOOFIN’!]
Postings have been scarce but I will be rectifying it soon. I’m thinking of bringing aboard some folks so that this blog doesn’t come into an untimely end. So if any of you guys are interested, just let me know: email@example.com.
I just want to let you guys know about some exciting new changes to one of the earliest and longest-running bear site out there: Bear-Pics.com. Read all about it below…

Bear-Pics Version 2010:
Bear-Pics Version 2010 is truly a conceptually unique Bear site. Working on a credit system, it’s a site that gives back rather than takes. After you join (it’s free), you get 20 credits which allows you to view 20 photos (1 credit to see 1 pic). Create galleries and then add photos, and every photo our Bear-Pics team approves will give you 10 more credits. On top of that, every time guys click on your photos, you will get an additional credit.
Coming very soon (in a week’s time) Bear-Pics will offer livestreaming, and the fun part about this is – you will also get credit for streaming… the longer you stream, the more credit you get. And once livestreaming is in place, Bear-Pics will be offering instant messages.
Every day more and more cute guys are signing up and adding their photos, so it’s definitely worth it to come and check it out. And while all the other sites ask you to pay in order to keep your profile online with pictures that belong to you (which is ridiculous), at Bears-Pics we credit you, and the more pictures you add, the more you get. Already there are some guys who have 1000s of credit racked up, simply by sharing their photos.
We have apecial offer which will last until January 1st: sign up and use the code ‘BearMyth’ and instead of starting off with 20 credits, you will start with 100.
Some of you might remember Bear-Pics from 1999 to 2006. It was one of the very first Bear news sites which wrote about anything and everything Bear related. As well, there was a Gallery section in which webmaster Bob Forrest showcased his photography of really cute Bearish men. The site was all HTML, and for its time, it was quite popular.
In 2006, Bob met up with Nikola, a coder who offered his services with the goal to make Bear-Pics more dynamic. However, rather than work on Bear-Pics, they decided to open up a new site, and PlanetBears (http://planetbears.com) was created, while Bear-Pics, the HTML version, closed its digital doors. In late 2009, Bob and Niko decided they wanted to try something different, and after 6 months of coding, they opened up Bear-Pics Version 2010 on March 31st. Since then, there are already 5300+ guys who have created a profile, and they are beginning to realize the unique power and energy that Bear-Pics emits.
Go Fujimoto Calendar Contest
Bear-Pics is running a contest and the prize is a great calendar by the reknown Bear artist Go Fujimoto of JapanimationBears (http://www.japanimationbears.com). All you have to do is create a gallery on Bear-Pics, call it ‘CALENDAR’, add up to 20 photos, and the more pics you add, the better your chances are at winning since winners are chosen randomly (meaning, every photo is put into the pool, so the more photos you have the pool, the better your odds). This contest is not about who is the best looking nor who has the most votes – it’s about simply participating and having fun and hoping you’re lucky enough to win one of these great calendars.
Bear-Pics is giving away 5 calendars, and instead of giving them away all at once, we’re giving one away every few days up until January 1st 2011, so the sooner you add your photos, the more chances again you will have at winning, however you can join in up until the very last day (New Year’s day).
Now a little about Go Fujimoto: he’s a Japanese artist who is reknown around the world for his excellent Bearish drawings. In fact, Go is one of the very first guys who did Bear drawings with his JapanimationBears, and his artwork has definitely shaped and influenced many artists today who draw Bears as well.
Go Fujimoto has been making calendars for quite some time now and they are even considered collector’s items. He took a 3 year hiatus from making them however he is now back and in full form, and this year’s calendar – his 2011 – is equally impressive and will surely be highly sought out. The theme is about Bears connecting with Bears using the latest technology that’s out there right now, and that’s our SmartPhones.
The calendar is desk size (148×100 mm), a total of 14 pages with the prints being in both colour and monochrome.

Sorry about being late with the contest. However, we all win with Bear-Pics and their new and spiffy cool system. And using the code BearMyth, you start out with 100 credits instead of 20!
Hey there! Long time, no post. But it’s time to rectify that. Life and other things took over which was why I was absent for quite a long time. Life is still pretty hectic, but I will do my best to post as much as I can.

I’ve also changed the layout of this blog and hopefully you folks would like it…
Chubarama posted this video and I just have to copy it here: it’s the most awesome Jon Stewart’s “Gaywatch” segment in The Daily Show, and one of them is about my hero, Will Phillips. You just have to watch it. (And a big LOL at Jon’s comment at the “What is a ‘gaywad’?” question.)
It is news such as this that makes me glad that I belong to the human race. It’s crazy to think that a 10-year-old boy would make a stand for something that doesn’t even involve him. Because of it, he’s ridiculed in his school and called a “gaywad.” When awkwardly asked with a “cute & funny” question, “What’s a ‘gaywad’?” Will replied:
I really don’t know. It’s a discriminatory name for homosexuals.
I love this kid! Ask a stupid question, you get a smart, perfunctory response from a. 10. year. old.
It’s interesting how the boy is more mature about the whole situation while his dad and the newscaster found the situation a bit humorous. This is not an attack on either of them, but this is just my observation based on how they interviewed and talked to the boy. The dad for instance started laughing when his son described how his classmates assumed that he was gay. Granted, the father is already involved in a very sticky situation and he’s an amazing father for supporting his son’s First Amendment rights. Still, point is, what if his son was gay? (But my have-a-chill-pill nitpickiness was thrown out the window when the dad lovingly elbowed Will at the end of the interview. It was such an “Awwww” moment.)
Nevertheless, Will Phillips is my hero. He’s only lived in this world for 1 decade, and he fully understands the concept of “Equal Rights.”
And, since this blog is about bear eye candy, Jay Phillips is definitely a very handsome bear. His reactions are utterly cute and adorable. You can see his right thumb quivering in the video while my hero kept picking on the threads of his jeans. I now want that t-shirt…
I’ve been spending most of my time at Tumblr simply because I am still working on my main computer (upgrading, fixing, and all that) and it’s easier for me to post via my phone. Anyway, make sure to check out my two Tumblr pages:

To celebrate Maine’s victory of repealing the law of allowing same-sex marriage, here is a Twilight Zone episode called “The Monsters Are Due on Maine Maple Street”…
Stephen King can’t even top this type of horror.
We finally got to see some video footage of John Marcotte from RescueMarriage.org. You might not recognize him with hair and sans sunglasses, but his undeniably woofy looks are not to be disputed. I really can’t wait to see what happens to his ballot proposal in outlawing divorce in California…
No funny jokes nor innuendos here. It’s awesome to know that Jeff Saturday is supporting a good cause to raise awareness and money in finding a cure for breast cancer. Thank you to Clarian Health for these fantastic photos from Susan G. Komen’s Race For The Cure event on April 18, 2009.
Let’s end this with Jeff Saturday sharing a part of himself through his autographs.
And, finally, I want to send a big shout out to Dwight Supremacy for this magnificent Jeff Saturday scan from ESPN Magazine. WOW!
Thanks to everyone who have emailed me about John Marcotte and his quest to get a voter’s initiative on the California 2010 ballot called the “2010 California Marriage Protection Act.” If it gets passed, registered voters from California will have the opportunity to finally cement a complete and utter protection to “Traditional Marriage.” Check out boingboing for more info.
His website RescueMarriage.org must be visited by everyone, especially by our friends who oppose same-sex marriage. Here are some choice snippets from his site…
I’m Catholic. My faith teaches me that divorce is a sin. I don’t believe that the government should be indoctrinating our children — telling them that divorce is “cool” or “legally permissible.” That type of moral decision should be taught within the confines of the family. It is not the government’s job to teach our children what to think about the morality of divorce.
* * * * *
Jesus says getting divorced is a sin:
9 Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”
10 When they were in the house again, the disciples asked Jesus about this.
11 He answered, “Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her.
12 And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.
Interestingly, Jesus never once even mentioned homosexuals or homosexual behavior. I assume this was some sort of clerical oversight that will be rectified during the end of days as described in the Book of Revelation. Perhaps during Satan’s 1,000 year reign. I’ll get back to you on that one.
Awesome. Just awesome.
Pass this news to everyone…
And in related bear news, how seriously hot is John Marcotte? Thank you, Mr. Marcotte. Thank you very much…
Game Set Watch has an update on a game that I’ve been following for the past two years: Dark Presence. First of all, when this game was announced, many gamers quickly ridiculed the non-intimidating-looking actors (check out Destructoid‘s biting impressions). Who can really blame them? The costumes look cheap and the weapons appear to be plastic toys. Also, such screenshots appear to be behind-the-scenes exclusives for a digitized fighting game in 1990…
However, with my initial impressions out of the way, remember when I talked about a crappy Full-Motion-Video Game called Urban Runner? Remember when I said this?: “Sometimes crappy games become better when adding woofy bears.” Heck, I haven’t seen a single video footage for Dark Presence, but I have already given a thumbs up for the game since the actor playing Titan is just freaking woofy.
My quarters are primed and ready to play this supremely hot chubby bear biker with his massive skull-&-spine battle-axe.
And with my [BearBeat] fetish, looks like my fantasies of controlling a character to beat up on a realistic big bear in glorious 1080p and 15,000 frames of animation goodness are finally coming true. I mean, come on. Check out that kick to the massive man’s gut on the above photo. I just hope that the grunting sounds are awesome too. (I know, I know, I’m a sick, sick man.) Also, I hope that one of the game’s fatality moves is called “Striptality”…
The game is not even out and they already have a sequel for it called Conquering Light. Titan is not in it, though there is a semi-shirtless daddy bear in his place. Anyway, Destructoid has a screenshot of that daddy bear (called “Grant”) and he’s also definitely a woofer.
Anyway, this old school arcade “revitality” (get it? *groans*) reminded me of the countless tokens I had dropped on Pit Fighter (even bought an Atari Lynx for this fabulous — lol — game). Though Buzz was my favorite Pit Fighter, the very first bad guy you fight (who happened to be a tanned, sweaty, & smooth musclebear) was THE main reason I loved the game. Here he is. The one. The only. The Executioner…
While searching for those Executioner screenshots, I wanna give a shout out to Google for providing me with this Executioner photo… OH WOW!
You figure that this groundbreaking news would be all over the U.S. airwaves. Fortunately for our Slovakian friends, they got the the inside scoop on this… Click on the photo above for a video of a naked bearish man walking and sleeping naked in the sidewalks of Los Angeles.
Thanks to Jorge for this fantastic piece of journalistic exposé — in more ways than one.
Chubarama posted about Jack Black hosting the Spike TV’s 2008 Video Game Awards a few days ago and we were treated to such fantastic bear and chub goodness from Jack Black and fellow Tenacious D rocker, Kyle Gass. What made the show for me though was the appearance of my personal Game God, Tim Schafer.
He appeared to promote his upcoming game, Brutal Legend. The big bonus was that the voice of his game’s protagonist is none other than Jack Black! JB might have done an overkill with pimping Tim “Fucking” Schafer, but I don’t mind. He’s a superstar in my books as I’m an avid adventure gamer (read: point-and-click adventure games or Interactive Fiction) while he’s responsible for some of my favorite adventure games of all time, such as The Secret Of Monkey Island and Day Of The Tentacle.
PC Gamer magazine back in 2001 did an article called “Game Gods.” Tim Schafer was in it and believe me, I bought two copies of the magazine so that I could have one as a collector’s item while the other one got torn so that I could scan them. And here they be… And JB’s right. This is the one and only Tim “Fucking” Schafer…
And if you were wondering who the handsome bearded chubby bear is on the right, then I am very glad that you were. He is none other than Erik Yeo, lead designer of the original Command & Conquer.
This is fantastic news indeed. Shot putter, Manuel Martinez (official site), is currently involved in the final week of filming for the comic book adaptation of Lorenzo Mattotti’s Estigmas (original site here; official site). The film is directed by Adan Aliaga Vallencia (original site here).
We will finally get to see this massive bear of a man in his film debut (does his 3-second television appearance in Cachorro [Bear Cub] count?). The film is scheduled to be released in either January or February of 2009.
I am very intrigued with the premise of Estigmas. Here’s a brief (and somewhat poor) translated description:
The crab-producing films has decided to make a radical bid to Europe with the comic adaptation of the audacious, brilliant, and critically-acclaimed “Stigma” by Lorenzo Mattotti (drawing) and Claudio Piersanti (dash). “Stigma” is the story of the loneliness of a man marked by a tragic fate, the emergence of some sores on his hands that he represents God and that it enclosed in a world of madness.
I definitely can’t wait to see this. In the meantime, here are some more photos of the superbly woofy, Manuel Martinez…

Dave Williams was the late singer of Drowning Pool. The band had a hit song called “Bodies” that has lyrics that I dedicate to…
who voted “Yes” on Proposition Hate.
I dedicate this song to all of you… And, by the way, a really big “FUCK YOU” to you as well.

Here is Wade Williams as Officer — correction — ex-Officer and fugitive Brad Bellick in a commercial for the Isuzu Vehicross…
I have to admit, besides Heroes, Prison Break is one of my favorite television shows right now. Yes, they’re really stretching the concept, the scenarios they get in to are pretty much outlandish and almost unbelievable, and the coincidences and questionable motives of the characters are pretty much worthy of viewer hatred.
So why do I love it? I’ll break it down to these (coupled with random screenshots of Brad Bellick revealing his lovely chest hair in Season 4, Episode 6).
1. Spectacular acting all around. There is not a single character who I do/did not like. I also love the surreal dialogue they would sometimes have. Sometimes, I swear that the dialogue was written by the creator of Dawson’s Creek. And that’s not a bad thing.
2. The whole series is like watching a point-and-click adventure game. Being a fan of such interactive fiction, Prison Break is a dream come true. Use a piece of oil-dipped comb, ballpoint ink, and sulfur to create a mini-bomb, thereby causing a distraction for the guards at precisely 4:32 pm! (I just made that one up.)
3. It’s a perfect show for those who feel that the world is just out to get them. Sometimes, my life is a series of seemingly endless stress, heartaches, and frustrations. This show is a perfect outlet to relieve my personal tensions and sadness; as I sometimes feel that I always seem to have the worst of luck.
I have yet to get Season 3 on DVD as it’s the season where Officer Bellick got stripped to his underwear. Unfortunately, he was pretty beat up in most of those scenes so they’re not really “pleasant” images to look at. Anyway, in the final episode of Season 2, we saw a glimpse of Bellick in such an unfortunate predicament in that dreadful Panamanian prison called Sona…
The following paragraph must be read out loud (yet quietly) in Michael Scofield’s voice…
This following paragraph is utterly random, yet not. The recent screenshots above show a local television’s watermark of “FOX41 WDRB.” While perusing the local news website of WDRB, I have uncovered a local weatherman who used to work for The Weather Channel. His name is Paul Emmick. If you notice, the last 3 letters of his name are “I,” “C,” and “K.” Wade Williams’ character’s last name is “Bellick” which also ends in “I,” “C,” and “K.” By staring at all three letters, I have decrypted The Company’s code. We now know the exact location of the last and final piece of Scylla!
*cue Prison Break’s heartpounding tun-tun-tun! then cut to commercial*
Seriously though, Paul Emmick has one of the most mesmerizing voices ever. I can listen to him talk about the lack of humidity in Vegas and actually be enthralled.

Bullgoon-loving internet superstar, Bullneck, has just updated me about a fantastic video interview piece of Gerard Benderoth by ex-Daily Show correspondent, Mo Rocca. Bullneck has also posted about this in his LiveJournal (which reminded me that I have been very lax with updating and checking out my very own LiveJournal account). And I just have to shout out a huge “Thank you!” to Bullneck for thinking about me. He’s such a super and smart guy and any of you bullgoons out there will be lucky enough to snatch this smart and witty young man. I wholly endorse him. 🙂
As for the video, it was wholly unexpected. I was expecting a rough and gruff personality, but through such intimidating exterior, he’s completely a “teddy bear” on the inside.
*begins sudden out from left field rant*
And as a lesson to any of you homophobic “bearish guys” out there, take a lesson from Big Benderoth himself as he talked about “confidence.” If you can’t handle any gay references or insinuations, then there’s something wrong with your level of confidence.
*ends sudden out from left field rant*
Anyway, I really love the video and I love how Benderoth is such a completely nice guy. I’ve also been a fan of Mo Rocca and he definitely did a great piece with this one.

Thanks to Jibreal, he had pointed me out to Australian shot putter, Justin Anlezark. Just when I thought that only the American Shot Putting Trifecta of Reese Hoffa, Christian Cantwell, and Adam Nelson are the only ones who are going to be at the Olympics (I’m calling “Clean Sweep” — lol), I find out that there are actually other shot putters out there! -_^
Justin Anlezark has quite a trying tale for his road to the 2008 Olympics (check it out here). Stories like that bring me back to my discussion on why I kinda hate sports, sometimes. But at the same time, these are just the very stories that would truly evoke the power and wonder of the human spirit.
