Rick Zumwalt’s character “Bull Hurley” has been a major factor and influence in my realization that I was attracted towards big and burly men. His larger-than-life portrayal of a very intimidating and powerful arm wrestler is forever embedded in my memory: the red tanktop, the bald head, the thick & sweaty biceps, the perfect goatee, and his aggressively cocky demeanor were the physical features and personality traits that fueled my imagination and “sexual awakening,” if you will.
Well, today, I’d like to introduce to you Mr. Radu “Valahu” Georgescu or as I’d like to think of him as The Romanian Bull Hurley Version 2.0. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Rick Zumwalt may not be physically in this world anymore, but there will be people (from past, present, and future) who will always possess such amazingly similar traits. Radu may not be bald nor possess a goatee, but what a trade-off with that spectacular beard! Jury’s still out with the bandanas though…
Those screenshots from the collage were taken from this YouTube video:
And speaking of my coincidental Bull Hurley comparison, here is Hurley wearing a yellow tanktop and Radu wearing a yellow shirt! OMG like that is so true!

I was just doing a Google Image search on “musclechub” only to surprisingly find images that I have posted on this blog. I guess that I have been posting mostly about musclechubs (though not “muscle chubs” specifically).
I guess for pure, unadulterated attraction, I tend to gravitate towards muscular chubbies. It probably has to do with the film, Over The Top, and the very presence of the late Rick Zumwalt. I was 15 when the film came out; and because of it, the very idea of myself worshiping such mythological bearish behemoths was born.
Here are some photos of the ever-burly musclechub, Rick Zumwalt. And make sure to visit The Rick Zumwalt Fan Site, created by a great friend of mine.
Strongman Ginaud Dupuis had also played Mr. Zumwalt’s role in
Cirque de Soleil’s Alegria
Maxim did a list of the Awesomest Losers In Sports Movie History. 4 out of the 10 were bearish, which proves the fact that bearish men tend to be on the losing end when it comes to Sports Movies.
I especially love the comments on Bolo Yeung’s rippling pecs and Mr. T’s rounded behind without resorting to homophobic comments… Awesome job, Maxim! Love it.
Look long and hard enough, you’ll find My Number One Bear wearing nothing but his full Father’s Day suit… -_^
Meet The Spartans was a horrible movie. In fact, calling it a “film” is being generous. It did not even try at all to be clever or, heaven forbid, funny… Regardless, the one shining beacon in this “film” was the presence of cute chubby bear, Jareb Dauplaise. I only watched Epic Movie to simply watch his 2-minute performance as Nacho Libre. Lol. Yes, if you haven’t noticed it by now, I am pretty shallow. Anyway, to keep up with today’s posts with a “sweaty” theme, here is Mr. Dauplaise with his proud and sweaty chubby physique…
Our fellow young bear/chub admirers will one day pinpoint this film as an
integral part of their sexual awakening — as Rick Zumwalt in
“Over The Top” had done for my own “bear” discovery…
I just recently joined the MuscleChubs Yahoo Group and one of the recent posts was this amazing find. I remember the Canadian, Ginaud Dupuis, being a competitor in 1998’s World’s Strongest Man, but I unfortunately don’t have any screenshots of his appearances. He has definitely gotten bigger though and, man, even with all that makeup, he is as woofy as ever. As I’m inspired by this video, I will definitely hunt it down. Lol. Anyway, here’s one small photo that Google could find for us:
The late Rick Zumwalt had also played Mr. Dupuis’ Strongman’s character in “Alegria.”
Thank the heavens for YouTube. I was not aware that big Bull Hurley once played a wrestler-like character called the Carolina Crusher who wore a far more acceptable tanktop. Do a search for “Carolina Crusher” in YouTube for more Rick Zumwalt goodness…
