Billy Milano: Evolution Of M.O.D.

So far, I’ve shared a lot of really gay pop/rock music in this blog.  The thing is, I’m a closet metalhead.  I must admit that I don’t listen to that genre as much, but heavy metal was something that helped me cope with my troubled adolescent years.  One of my favorite metal band was Anthrax.  And when Anthrax created a side project called S.O.D. (Stormtroopers Of Death), I was hooked — not only at their music, but at their lead singer, Billy Milano.

And as an offshoot of S.O.D., Billy Milano created M.O.D. (Method Of Destruction).  Here are two videos from the early 80’s era to the now…

True Colors

I also used to have a Billy Milano fanpage, but during my online exile, I never paid my hosting fees.  Oops.  I still have it in my hard drive and I’ll, one day, bring it back up.  But check out The Official S.O.D. & M.O.D. fansite for all of your complete SOD/MOD needs.

Billy Milano also had a MySpace page but he appeared to have deleted it.  It’s a shame because he had some awesome philosophical rants in there.  As we have lost such a great webpage, in its place is this great photo of Billy Milano… 🙂

  2. *embarrassed* >_<

First of all, hello Sjouke! I guess it’s pretty obvious now why I even used to have a Billy Milano fansite, well just one of the many reasons. ^_^

So, yes, that was me from the fansite and bootlegs/shows. You are one of the most loyal SOD/MOD fan that I know and the only one who is still running a fantastic site for one of my favorite groups ever… I try not to reveal this part of me with my “other” online persona, but I’m glad that you found me.

By the way, do you know what happened to Billy’s MySpace page? I miss his rants.

    \m/ 🙂 \m/

  3. Thanks for mentioning my site here. I think we know eachother, right? From the time you had your Billy Milano fansite. We even traded some shows as far as I can remember, am I right?
