Classic Goonday Moonday: Pure Strength Strongmen Of 1989

Twenty-two years ago, I was in high school and still oblivious to the world of strongmen competitions.  So thank goodness for YouTube.  It has become a rich video archive of classic strongmen competitions.  This one in particular is called “Pure Strength” (the 1989 episode). HITStrongman posted the whole event in 7 parts.

Contrary to popular belief, all gay people actually have particular tastes. Just because I’m gay, it doesn’t mean that I will immediately strip off my clothes in public and hump any man I see on the leg.  Let’s clear that up right now.  Totally false.

So, I’m gonna be extremely picky about this batch of spectacular strongmen.  In order of my personal ranked hotness:

O.D. Wilson

Jamie Reeves

Tjalling Van Den Bosch

Bill Kazmaier

What?   The Kaz is last, you angrily asked?  I know, I know, I’m shocked myself.  But Van Den Bosch is a new discovery (22 years late) and his beard and glowing blonde mane just won me over.  Sometimes, muscles can get beat out by a well-groomed mullet.  Sorry, but it’s scientifically true.  😛
